This works by watching subtle colour changes in your face as your heart beats — a technique called remote photoplethysmography (rPPG). Your camera video is processed on this device only, and is never uploaded or stored — only the resulting numbers are saved.

This is a wellness feature, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or monitor any medical condition, and its estimates are not a substitute for a clinical measurement.

Camera-based measurement can be less accurate for some skin tones. We ask your age and skin tone — and, optionally, ethnicity — so accuracy across everyone can actually be checked later, rather than assumed. This data may be used internally by TeqDr to research and improve future vital-sign features. It is never shared outside TeqDr.
