Vita is TeqDr’s desktop companion to Vitalis — conditions, medicines, doses, a redacted health-search tool and a peer community, all running locally. No server, no account, no telemetry, by design. Pair it with Vitalis if you want your record to follow you across devices; it works completely on its own if you don’t.

Search MedlinePlus, PubMed, ClinicalTrials.gov and openFDA. Measurements, dates, ages, postcodes, emails and phone numbers are stripped before anything leaves your machine — and you see the exact redacted query before it sends.
Pseudonymous, no accounts. Posts are signed, DMs are sealed, and anything that looks like it's in crisis is routed to help rather than posted.
Build your own dashboard from a fixed set of pieces — trends, adherence, flares, a population reference-range comparison sourced from published guidance. Nothing on a Board ever runs code, so one someone shares with you is as safe to open as one you built yourself.
Vita has nowhere to send your record. There is no backend to breach, because there is no backend.
Everything Vita writes is encrypted on disk using your OS’s own secure storage, not a password Vita invents.
No usage analytics, no crash reporting to us, no accounts. What Vita knows about you never leaves the device unless you explicitly connect something — and even checking for a new version is one click you choose, never silent.
Pair Vita from Settings on your Vitalis account and your journal mirrors across devices, kept in a record separate from Vitalis’s own reports and AI analysis. Nothing syncs until you generate a key and agree to it.

Vita hasn’t gone through Apple/Microsoft code-signing yet, so your OS will warn you before the first launch. That warning is expected, not a sign something’s wrong — but you should still verify the checksum below before you trust it.
chmod +x Vita-0.5.1.AppImage — then run it. On a Chromebook, this runs inside Linux (Crostini); enable that under Settings → Advanced → Developers first if you haven’t already.
